I think there’s a correlation with having a new car and good luck.

Yesterday, my mom tricked me when I was half awake. I knew she wanted to look at cars, so I thought we were going to Corona or something. I didn’t think she was going to take me to San Diego. X__X Her co-worker has a nephew in Poway who works at the Honda dealership there and he helped us out with getting a new car for me.

We ended up getting a pre-owned 2007 Accord EXL. It’s so nice that even my mom was wondering if she should take the car instead and give me her Lexus. XD I think even my step-dad might like it too.. I wouldn’t mind getting his IS either!! LOL JKJKjfldjfldsa

We were going to get Filipino food next to my old house in Rancho Penasquitos, so the nephew drove my car back to his house while we waited for his son to get out of school. The nephew was really inspirational. We talked about school, the graduate life, single life partying, life after settling down, and all the random jobs he did before scoring a job as a buyer for Sony for 18 years (he traveled to play golf and eat steak with company CEOs/CFOs so that they could sell their parts to him for Sony’s TVs) and now working as a sales rep for Honda, making $10k+ a month as their top seller. It was cool to see a guy who’s like 20 years older to still relate to a noobie recent graduate like me.

“When I was still single, I would be partying all the time, going out to get drinks with friends. I still do it now, lounging and going to the bar with friends and coworkers after work. But once I was with my ex-girlfriend, it was like 5 years of no partying. She did help me to focus on school and life, so it’s a different type of happiness.”

It gives me hope that I can’t keep rushing results about my life and career because it takes time.

Fast forward to today, I walked in to work and my boss gave me two new design projects for his CEO friends for their websites. He also asked me to start working full-time again. Eight to five work days. YESS!!!

So..

  • Sexy new car
  • Full time work

All I have to do now is a few things:

  1. Get my reimbursement check from the car accident to pay off most of my car payment, and I’ll be done paying it in 2-3 years instead of 5
  2. Earn my parents’ trust with the car so that I can full freedom of driving it
  3. Try to at least get parental approval to go to Irvine on Monday nights
  4. HOPEFULLY get classes at the community college nearby so that I can start working on my second degree !!

Life is looking good right now. :)
